E-mail Setup Instructions for Mozilla Thunderbird

 
 
 

Open Mozilla Thunderbird
Select “Tools” from the menu bar at the top of the window
Select “Account Settings…” from the drop down menu
Select “Add Account...” on the left of the window
Be sure “Email account” is selected
Select “Next”
Type your name in the blank next to “Your Name:”
Type your e-mail address in the blank next to “E-mail Address:”
Select “Next”
Under “Select the type of incoming server you are using” select “POP”
Type “pop.batesvillecomputing.com” in the blank next to “Incoming Server:”
Type “smtp.batesvillecomputing.com” in the blank next to “Outgoing Server:”
Select “Next”
Be sure your username appears in the blank next to “Incoming User Name:”
   NOTE: Your username is your email address
Select “Next”
Be sure your account name appears in the blank next to “Account Name:”
Select “Next”
Select “Finish”
Be sure your user name is showing in the blank next to “User Name:”
Be sure the blank next to “Port:” reads “587”
If not, highlight the number and type “587”
Select the e-mail address at the top left of the window
Type your e-mail address in the blank next to “Reply-to Address:”
Select “OK”
Select “+” beside the e-mail address at the top left of the window
Select “Inbox” from the drop down menu
Select “GetMail” from the toolbar at the top of the window
Type in your password
Check the box next to “Use Password Manager to remember this password”
Select “OK”
Select “OK” to receive messages
